Here's where it begins, folks - let's swap impressions of our summer reading. I've just finished "Rivers of London" by Ben Aronovitch. Not bad - entertaining idea of a Metropolitan copper being apprenticed to a wizard in order to solve a trail of murders; some ghosts and mildly amusing incidents. However, if you're an aficionado of Jasper Fforde or Christopher Fowler, this travels some similar ground without being half as intelligent or witty.
Not sure what I'll start next....
